[Being a good actor also means learning how to be a normal person. He thinks? He could ask his father but that would put the worst taste in his mouth. He's not going to do anything like that.]
I've been working for a while. Most of my jobs have been smaller parts. I have a few recurring roles now though.
It's my day off, but I can still practice lines when I'm not on set.
Huh....so you're a veteran, then. [He's kind of young to be a veteran, that's what Sato thinks. But then again, this guy could have been a child actor.] Good for you. [For actually getting roles despite getting older and no longer being the tiny, plucky child that people probably typecasted him as.]
What kind of roles? [Because Sato was going to check this out in his spare time. (Which is whenever no boss is directly behind him and watching his work.)]
That's... one way to put it? [Honestly, he wasn't very good at being plucky, but he was very good at looking attractive. Thanks, several years of being put through beauty pageants.]
Usually the friend of a friend. More recently, somebody's long lost brother.
Well, you're young. You can choose any career you want. [The most important thing is that this is the one he wants to pursue.]
How does it look? [The sand-hill-castle-fort is starting to take shape at this point. Sato may have been a bit too turret-happy but at least he's now moved on to adding windows?]
Then it's fine, isn't it? You're doing the career you want. [And Sato can't help but be a bit proud of this kid even if he doesn't know him very well. You do you, actor kid who can't build sand castles. He supports you.]
Should we measure? [He stands, trying his hardest not to knock the whole thing down.] How does it look?
... Yeah. What about you? Do you know what you want...? [Thank you, he appreciates any support he'll get from anybody. There are a lot of people (his father) who don't approve. ... Maybe just one person Shouto hates with his entire being.]
I think we need a few more inches and we'll be done here.
Well...I think it's a bit late for me. [Besides, he has his hobbies and the money to facilitate said hobbies. Maybe it's a bit too cold, but it's not like he has any other amazing qualities like some of the younger people he saw around him.]
Then let's add a tower, or something? [Every castle needed a very high tower, after all. Never mind that the theme here was "hidden castle".]
There's a lot that I like... [It's just mostly things like watching shows with giant robots in them and building dioramas and model kits.]
If only we could just freeze this. But I guess you can't really do that since it's summer and all. I wonder if they have a rule against using a metal pole for structure.
Ah, no, I wasn't saying that you have to. I can't freeze anything like this either. [For one, he doesn't have a freezer big enough for a sand castle to fit into.]
Did you bring a metal pole, then? Maybe we could borrow a broom? I wonder if it'll collapse if we poke a broom into the base.

That's a really big promotion, isn't it? You're probably playing named characters, at this point, aren't you?

If you show up often enough, someone is bound to notice and want you to play other roles, too.

It's not my only career route, but it's the one I want to pursue.

[Becaust it means overtaking his garbage father.]
... It's looking pretty good now. I think it's almost five feet now.

Right, the whole thing doesn't need to be 5'9". Is there a kind of tower that goes with this kind of castle?
no subject
Maybe we could do a huge Disney tower.
no subject
That's doable. We'll just need some more water to solidify the tower.

... I think we can still use metal though. I don't think there are any rules just as long as it's tall enough.
